6 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Raw Superstar Shakeup

2. Lacey Wrestles, And… Meh

Yeah, tough crowd.

So after months of walking the entrance ramp while working dark matches and house shows, Lacey Evans finally made her in-ring Raw debut Monday night, facing one of the most experienced wrestlers in the business, Natalya.

The result? Near-silence from the Montreal faithful, who only popped at the end for Evan’s extremely impressive jumping moonsault, which thankfully finished rather than her Woman’s Right. That earned Lacey a Raw Women’s Championship match against Becky Lynch.

Yep, Evans’ big opportunity, her big Raw debut match was pedestrian as hell. After spending all that time strutting, she needed to blow people away to erase their opinions about her. Instead, she came across exactly as many feared: average in the ring (and on the mic), with a beautiful moonsault.

But hey, she’s a former Marine MP who calls other women “nasties,” so it’s a license to print money, right? Right?
