2. Ryback Expository
When Ryback returned to Raw a couple months ago, he gave a backstage interview in which he talked about losing his way during the past year and getting back on track. It was a purposeful interview that explained Rybacks actions and set him up for a new direction. Unfortunately, the Raw audience never saw this. It went straight to YouTube, and an opportunity was lost. Monday night, the Big Guy got an opportunity to walk fans down memory lane, tracing his development and progression with WWE, from losing the 2004 Tough Enough challenge, to getting released, to debuting with the Nexus as Skip Sheffield, to today. In that five-minute expository, Ryback showed hes nothing like Goldberg whose name he hears chanted during his matches because he can actually say more than Whos Next? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-A-F5eDHI4 While Ryback isnt the best guy on the mic, and its quite possible that any push for the Big Guy is temporary, it was a nice change of pace to see WWE actually give someone not named John Cena, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton or the Authority a few minutes to speak to the audience and try to get himself over on Raw. Doing this once in a while might get fans to actually care about some of the midcard talent.
