5. A Tag Team Run
Randomly thrown together teams are an eye-roller for some of the WWE audience, but it is a tried and tested method of building up stars that cannot be ignored. Team Hell No pushed Daniel Bryan's popularity through the roof, Heath Slater has gone from directionless to Champion, and the odd couple of Cesaro and Sheamus on Raw get some of the biggest pops in the company. It may seem like a step back, but the likes of Edge, Christian, Jeff Hardy, RVD, JBL, Batista, and The Miz all sampled tag team glory before going on to become world champions in the company.
Who to put with Crews is a more difficult question to answer. From the current crop, Baron Corbin, Curt Hawkins, Jack Swagger, or even Dolph Ziggler seem viable if a little uninspiring. An NXT call up or returning star may be a better option and one that springs to mind is Shelton Benjamin. There are lots of parallels between the two men, both amazing athletes who are better in ring that promoting themselves out of it. Shelton could take Apollo under his wing and help elevate him to a position that he himself never quite reached. Furthermore, an inevitable break up and feud would give us fans some spectacular matches to behold.
