6 Worst Fashion Mistakes By The Undertaker

3. New York Leather Batman

The Demon of Death Valley was undergoing some changes in 1996. As the company was evolving, the Dead Man was being humanised a little more and that meant another costume change.

Most fans will remember the change from the black sleeveless shirt, black trousers and purple gloves into the all black look of the slightly opened shirt with no more gloves fully covering his hands but some fans are still mentally scarred by the images from Survivor Series 1996.

As Mankind awaited the entrance of Taker (after he€™d been buried alive the month before at In Your House), out from the rafters came Undertaker with these big, mad wings, dressed like a human bat. As you can see from the picture, I€™m not exaggerating. He€™s actually trying to be Batman.

That, in and of itself, I€™m totally cool with. Batman€™s a huge franchise, Batman Forever had been in movie theatres the previous year, I€™m digging the vibe. But when the wings came off, Undertaker€™s standing in the ring dressed head to toe....IN LEATHER.

New York€™s a kinky town and there€™s some crazy stuff that goes down in The Big Apple, but I€™m still not fully sure why Undertaker decided to dress in leather for his match with Mankind. Luckily it was short-lived and he got rid of it.
