6 Wrestlers Set To Disappear After WrestleMania 33

5. Big Show

He’s one of WWE’s most tenured employees, but Big Show is wrestling on borrowed time.

Now 45 years old, Show debuted for the company in 1999, but has been a bit part player for several years. Show has featured with increasing regularity in 2017, but the jig is almost up, and he has already set a retirement date.

Show expects to step away from the wrestling business when his WWE contract expires in February 2018. A proposed WrestleMania 33 bout with Shaquille O’Neal was expected to be his retirement match, but this has since fallen through, and he'll compete in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal instead. After that, fans can expect him to disappear from WWE television once more, then perhaps engage in a brief “farewell” program before February.

Putting Braun Strowman over in the Battle Royal could be Show's last major contribution. Despite drifting towards irrelevance in recent years, the former WWE Champion has done more than enough to secure a place in the Hall of Fame, and he’ll likely get a big “goodbye” speech when he finally steps away.

There's no reason for him to be going over younger wrestlers in 2017, but a big sendoff is the least WWE could do for Show.
