6 Wrestlers Set To Disappear After WrestleMania 33

2. Goldberg

Goldberg’s WWE return was never intended to last longer than a couple of months. The former WCW Champion would come in, reignite his rivalry with Brock Lesnar, wrestle the Beast at Survivor Series, then bid the sport “farewell.”

But his comeback was so well-received that WWE opted to prolong his run through WrestleMania, and while there has been some speculation that Goldberg might stay on after April 2nd, this looks extremely unlikely.

Bill has wrestled just over six minutes of action since returning, and revealed on Edge & Christian’s Pod of Awesomeness that the WWE schedule makes him “miserable.” Furthermore, the Universal Champion’s 50-year-old body just can’t cope with the rigours of life as a professional wrestler, and this, coupled with his declining goodwill with the fans, makes his departure extremely likely.

Goldberg has achieved everything he wanted from his comeback. It has allowed him to become a champion once again, and be a “Superhero” one last time. He’ll likely go out after fighting his greatest WWE rival in a WrestleMania main event, and while he has little chance of victory in Orlando, it’s hard to think of a better ending for Bill Goldberg.
