In recent months, Sasha Banks has been WWE's most high-profile malcontent. After being told to drop the WWE Women's tag titles at WrestleMania, 'The Boss' decided to take her ball and go home for an extended period.

She reportedly wasn't happy about how she was being utilized, and her brief tag title reign. Banks then proceeded to post several bizarre, cryptic tweets during her roughly four-month hiatus.

The truth is, few women in WWE history have received as big a push as Banks. Along with Charlotte Flair, she is the first female performer to be given the opportunity to headline a pay-per-view. She has also had four Raw Women's Championship reigns and will go down in history as one of the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. There are no doubt several WWE stars who would love to 'under-utilized' in such a manner.

Sasha Banks is 27-years-old, has only been on the main roster for about 5 years (including her absence), and already has a Hall of Fame resume. She is one of the most popular performers on the roster and would have certainly gone back feuding with top stars like Becky Lynch without taking time off in protest.

In truth, Banks absence felt like it may have been more about not being featured in this past WrestleMania's main event than anything else.

'The Boss' signed with WWE back in 2012 and has been a star most of her adult life. She only spent about two years on the independent circuit, which may be why she doesn't seem to have the capacity, in a professional sense, to differentiate a minor setback from a career catastrophe.
