6 Wrestling Autobiographies That Need To Be Published

5. Jim Ross

Jim Ross has had a tremendous life and career, growing up in Oklahoma, falling in love with the art of wrestling and vying to break into the business in some shape or form. Ross started off as part of a ring crew, before going to work for Bill Watts' Mid South Wrestling. It was there that he started learning the ropes of play-by-play commentary, beginning when a blind Leroy McGuirk would ask Jim to describe an ongoing match, to see if McGuirk could visualise the action based solely on the words of the WWE Hall of Famer. Debuting for the WWE at WrestleMania IX, JR instantly made a name for himself, starting a journey that would see him become one of the greatest announcers ever to don a headset. To be able to sit down and read a handful of tales from his illustrious announcing career would be a pleasure. He could cite stories from his experiences growing up and being taken into the industry in Mid South Wrestling, his relationships with Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and Jerry Lawler, and Vince McMahon's desire to humiliate him on television. Luckily, "Good ol' JR" has stated that the book is in progress and may be finished in 2016.
