6 WWE Booking Steps To True Redemption For Brian Kendrick

6. Coming Up Short Against TJ Perkins Once Again

This is the simplest step in Kendrick's story, and I would be massively surprised if his match tonight on RAW doesn't end with him tapping out to the dreaded Kneebar of Doom and Critical Misery. It is long one of the token phrases used by wrestling fans, but it is still too soon for Perkins to lose the Cruiserweight Championship.

If Kendrick wins tonight then the Perkins/Kendrick beef continues, which wouldn't be wise for a division that is still finding its feet. Perkins needs to become a fighting champion, defending the strap not unlike John Cena's United States Championship Open Challenge. Give him 10-15 minutes a week against the various men in the division.

Kendrick and Perkins will meet again further down the line, but their paths must diverge for now.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
