6 WWE Feuds That Should Have Ended In Hell In A Cell
2. John Cena vs CM Punk
This is another more recent feud, but it has been probably the hottest feud of the 2010s. John Cena and CM Punk just have crazy chemistry together. Whether Punk is playing the pious Straight-Edge Superstar, the Voice of the Voiceless or simply the jerk heel, he is the perfect foil for Cenas Boy Scout in bright colors routine. Many of their matches are must-watch occasions. While its true that Punk and Cena have squared off in a title match inside Hell in a Cell, it was a triple threat match won by Alberto Del Rio. This is not meant to be a knock against ADR, but his involvement didnt add to the match. This isnt like WrestleMania XX where adding Shawn Michaels to the Triple H-Chris Benoit title match produced a five-star classic. Punk and Cena would have had a classic on their own without Alberto. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYjIajo_YeA That particular cell match took place in late 2011, before Punks epic 434-day WWE Championship reign began, and before he rekindled his feud with Cena during the latter half of 2012. Their last notable meeting was in February 2013 in a number one contenders match to face The Rock at WrestleMania XXIX. If Punk ever returns to WWE and feuds with Cena again, it would be tailor-made to culminate in a Hell in a Cell match. Nothing short of that would be sufficient to put an exclamation point on one of the best feuds in WWE this decade.
