The ongoing feud between Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels has to be one of the best WWE has produced in the last 15 years. Both men were at the top of their game and meshed well in the ring. Throw in that they both were excellent talkers who could sell their matches without ever touching each other and its explosive. But then add in the bitterness of Jericho not being able to achieve Michaels level of success and you have a clear winner. The rivalry between the two began in 2003 at the Royal Rumble and peaked with their classic WrestleMania XIX match. Five years later, the two would reignite their feud and quickly poured gasoline on it. This was immediately after Michaels had retired Ric Flair by beating him at WrestleMania XXIV. Things shifted into high gear when Jericho smashed HBKs face into the Jeritron 6000 during an episode of the Highlight Reel. Jericho also accidentally punched Michaels wife Rebecca, which led to their blood feud continuing well into the fall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6hzY13gnTU When it was all said and done, Jericho and Michaels had fought what multiple wrestling publications dubbed 2008s Feud of the Year. The only thing missing from their series of matches was a Hell in a Cell match to end the feud. Sure, the Last Man Standing gimmick has an air of finality to it, but given the personal nature of the rivalry, a cell match between two of the best performers on the roster would have been an instant classic and the proper way to put things to rest. Those are just a few examples of hot feuds that could have and should have ended inside Hell in a Cell. What others from the last 17 years would you have liked to have seen in the cell?
