6 WWE Records That Were Needlessly Broken

The Rock was always going to be involved at WrestleMania 32 somehow, so it was no surprise when the People's Champion arrived with flamethrower in tow to the delight of the throngs in attendance. What many didn't expect was a confrontation between The Rock and the Wyatt Family, leading to a match between Rocky and Erick Rowan.

The match lasted six seconds, and while it certainly entertained the live crowd it has pretty much killed any ray of light there may have been in the future of Erick Rowan. It made a fool of Big Red and continued the depressing demotion of Bray Wyatt and his cohorts, as The Rock and John Cena stood tall.

And for what? What did this achieve? Erick Rowan will now go down in history as the loser in the shortest match in WrestleMania history, a record previously held by Chavo Guerrero. Chavo had an excuse too, in that he was attacked from behind by Kane. Rowan just looked like a fool.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
