1. The Ladder Of Success

So, it comes down to this: Who is Mr. TLC? There are a few guys who have found the winning formula when it comes to Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches. It’s doubtful all of them would claim this as their speciality match, but they definitely can lay claim to having enormous success in these extreme contests.

Most Wins: Edge (5). No one will probably ever top Edge in terms of overall success in TLC matches, winning five of his seven bouts. Edge defended a tag title and won one, won two World Heavyweight Championships and defended it successfully once. Sure, he lost a WHC in a TLC match, but his overall track record is stellar. No one on the active roster has more than one TLC victory.

Highest Winning Percentage, 2 or More Matches: CM Punk, Seth Rollins (100% - 3-for-3). For whatever reason, Punk managed to always have his hand raised whenever he entered TLC. He defended his WWE Championship twice in a TLC match during his 434-day reign. He also won a World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Hardy in a TLC match.

The newest addition to this club is Rollins, who won his Intercontinental Championship TLC match on Raw this week, giving him a third straight victory, with his other two coming in tag TLC matches.

Sunday’s TLC match will certainly add a little to these records and stats, but really, let’s all admit that the interesting things are the first-ever women’s TLC match and whether Braun Strowman will return from elbow surgery to face Baron Corbin, which should make the PPV something to keep tabs on.
