2. The New Paul Heyman Guy
Paul Heyman has long been associated with some of the biggest names in the company to give them an extra little push into bonafide megastar territory (Lesnar and Punk to name but two recent examples). Although not the most original or groundbreaking of ways to bring Joe in, an angle along such familiar lines would definitely be an effective one. A plausible reason for such an alliance could be the fact that Lesnar is currently 'suspended' (a way of excusing his very limited appearances), leaving Heyman desperate to find a new monster to unleash upon the WWE. Samoa Joe has all the features typical of a 'Paul Heyman guy' - fantastic potential as a heel, an intimidating aura, and some form of anti-company edge. In this case, his history on the indie scene again comes in handy, casting him as an outsider keen to prove himself better than the pretty boys and has-beens of the promotion. It also leaves the door open for a potential feud with Brock upon his return, a clash no wrestling fan would be keen to miss.
