7 Bad In-Ring Habits That Roman Reigns Needs To Change

6. Playing Babyface Despite Thunderous Boos

It shouldn't be lost on anyone that feuding with Roman Reigns helped turn Braun Strowman into Raw's most popular babyface last year. That wasn't the plan. To WWE, Reigns was a hero for standing up to the 'Monster Among Men'. Fans saw it differently and loved watching Braun hammer the poster boy.

At no point did Reigns readjust his in-ring work to match that fan response. Even when he was being booed out of the building against Strowman, Reigns continued to pretend like the world wanted him to win and overcome the beast. That wasn't the case.

Go back and watch any of the pair's matches for proof of that.

For an example of adaptability, check out The Rock's performance at WrestleMania X-8 against Hulk Hogan. The crowd were firmly behind Hogan despite the match layout calling for him to play heel. Instead of fighting this, Rock went with it and fed that excitement rather than trying to steer fans away from how they truly wanted to react.
