7 Bad In-Ring Habits That Roman Reigns Needs To Change

5. Ineffectual Rest Holds

Submission holds like the Chin Lock have become little more than link spots between live TV and commercial breaks in WWE. When watching Raw, it's obvious that you've missed exactly nothing when cameras come back from a time out to find the guys/gals inside the ring using one of these rest holds.

Reigns is guilty of demonstrating how pointless these holds can be. Though he's hardly alone, he rarely makes an effort to squeeze or sell the hold in question, leaving it ineffectual and redundant. This is definitely something Roman must work on this year, especially if it's going to continue being such a prevalent spot on WWE programming.

This can be easily fixed by properly locking his arm around an opponent's throat (Reigns looks like he's about to give John Cena a friendly 'noogie' in the above pic before he bursts out laughing). The all-time greats always portray a match like they're in a struggle or real fight, and that's what makes them the best.
