The camera pans in. CM Punk is sat legs crossed atop the new halfpipe Raw stage. He slowly stares into the camera. Fourth wall breaking wave and then the words we all didn't know we wanted and needed to hear: "Welcome to Punk's Pipebomb"!

This would have been such poetic justice to give Punk his own talk show segment on Raw. The quote from WWE Backstage is a riff on an idol of his and many, the late great Roddy Piper.

In the now famous early edition of Piper's Pit in 1984, after laying the fists to the Coach Steve from Big Mouth look-alike Frank Williams, Roddy utters the famous phrase "just when they think they got the answers, I change the questions". Punk's version on Backstage may have lacked the impact due to the stage it was on. But put it on Raw 35 years after Piper's Pit? That may have actually "changed the culture".

Given how much Roddy influenced Punk, having a role like this would be a childhood dream. Now we just need to work on those ice cream bars, Vince. The ice cream trucks don't get the same pop anymore.

In addition to cherishing childhood dreams, having 15 minutes of CM Punk on Mondays could help stave off the traditional hourly drop-off tremendously.

It also achieves Punk returning without taking bumps, while being a very enticing role in the same vein as Backstage. This also just falls so perfectly into what CM Punk has built with his pipebomb legend.
