7 Better Ways WWE Could've Returned CM Punk
4. WWE Creative
Likely a pipe dream to ever unleash the purveyor of the pipebomb on the WWE creative team, but it sure does just feel right doesn't it?
At a time when WWE has never been more reliant upon the new core (made up mostly from the indies Punk mastered his craft in) of talent, getting every decision right along the way is of the upmost importance. Just ask Punk's "rival" right now, Seth Rollins.
The scripted promos have created a "Seth Rollins is not cool" problem, and with the recent booking he has received that side has only added vinegar to already soured milk.
Having somebody like CM Punk handle Rollins as a personal project, who parallels his career very similarly with his road from ROH as Tyler Black, would likely do wonders in getting the fans to reconnect with him. Whether as a face or heel, Punk always understood the fans better than just about anybody in the business.
He may be a tough mind to coexist with due to his... low opinions of the current team, which he has made quite clear. But really, after King Corbin, Shorty G, Baron Corbin as himself, Erick Rowan the chicken wire whisperer, and all the other crap we've been fed... having a fresh set of eyes would be welcome.
And a "voice for the voiceless" would be even more so.
