Randy Orton and Triple H are, without a doubt, two of the greatest performers in WWE history and, when they collided at Super ShowDown, they highlighted they both still have a lot of fight left in them. However, while their chemistry was good, their in-ring styles hindered the match from living up to its true potential.

Unnecessarily long and overbooked matches have become a calling card of sorts for 'The Game', while Orton has adopted an incredibly slow and methodical pace in recent years. Although these styles have served each competitor well throughout their respective careers when they faced other opponents, they completely worked against each other on Friday.

As both superstars attempted to dissect one another (in the longest ways imaginable), it felt like the events were playing out in slow-motion and, unsurprisingly, the match ended up running for over 25 minutes - which is just far too long.

In spite of the issues, there were some really great moments throughout and it was all capped off by an outstanding finishing sequence - so yes, there was a great match in there somewhere, but the overbloated run-time and incredibly slow pacing prevented it from being something much more watchable.

You could have cut 10 minutes off this one and nobody would have cared. Less is more, WWE.
