7 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE Super ShowDown 2019

6. Too Much Filler

Aside from the matches that could have changed things up, Super ShowDown was absolutely clouded with filler.

Lars Sullivan's one-on-three clash with the Lucha House Party was as unnecessary as it promised to be, while Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley was a bland (and seemingly rushed) contest that did nothing for either man. Then you have Roman Reigns' collision with Shane McMahon (that the latter bafflingly won), which took place for no reason other than to extend the former's feud with Drew McIntyre so that they could compete at an event that was actually important.

It makes sense that the creative team wanted all of these stars featured, but couldn't they have just thrown them into the 50-Man Battle Royal instead? At least that way, their storylines could have been furthered in a more logical way, while the Battle Royal (which was also pointless considering that there was no actual prize) would have had some much-needed star power.

You could also call the main events between Undertaker and Goldberg and Triple H and Randy Orton filler if you want but at least they made sense from a business point of view - the rest, however, just weighed the show down and diminished any chance WWE had of presenting Super ShowDown as an important event.
