From now on, SmackDown Live may as well be known as SmackDown Dead.

Ever since the brand split in 2016, SmackDown has been the fan-favourite brand among the two. From its unique and fresh storytelling to its showcasing of promising young talent, the WWE Universe was drawn to the blue brand as it offered something different from Raw's repetitive storylines. For some reason, WWE and its creative team never seemed to feel the same way.

That was never clearer than it was at Survivor Series when Raw absolutely obliterated everything SmackDown had to offer. The red brand made history, achieving a clean sweep over its opposing brand, picking up the victories in all six competitive main-show matches. This just leaves us wondering, why?

As far as the narrative goes, it's likely that this is Stephanie McMahon's way of getting revenge on Shane for hijacking the World Cup tournament, but a victory in the tag team match would have sufficed. There was absolutely no reason to demolish all of SmackDown's momentum in the process.

Once again, this just feels like WWE's attempt to enforce that Raw is the superior brand (whether we like it or not!) when that isn't necessarily the case. Keep giving the fans what they want, Vince!
