4. All About That Shane

Of all the baffling creative decisions to take place at WWE Crown Jewel, Shane McMahon's victory in the WWE World Cup tournament was undoubtedly the worst. It didn't matter that he represented the beloved blue brand or set up a somewhat intriguing story between both brands for Survivor Series because he, a non-wrestler, had taken the coveted spot from a much more-deserving superstar (in this case, The Miz) and ultimately won a tournament that was "supposed to" determine the best in the world.

Unfortunately, his placement on SmackDown's Survivor Series team in the five-on-five elimination match did little to change our views on the matter. As Team Raw dominated, talented blue brand superstars like Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, The Miz and Rey Mysterio all fell - leaving, you guessed it, Shane McMahon all by himself.

Granted, he may not have lasted long and the whole angle was undoubtedly done so Raw could get its revenge on the SmackDown commissioner for hijacking the World Cup tournament, but it didn't change the fact that, for the second time in two pay-per-views, SmackDown became all about Shane when the focus should have been on the brand's actual superstars.
