7 Candidates To Replace The Authority As WWE's New Figurehead
6. John Laurinaitis
The man that was known for "People Power" started out looking very uncomfortable in an authoritative position, but by the end of his run he looked like he belonged. That's why WWE should think about bringing Laurinaitis back. It was at WrestleMania 28 in 2012 when Laurinaitis' team won a tag match against Teddy Long's team, which meant Johnny was in power. For whatever reason, WWE changed their minds within a few months as Johnny was fired and they put AJ Lee in that spot. Why did it change so abruptly? No idea. It's just a case of WWE changing their mind about something, which is a common practice for them. His character worked because he was this guy that was a bit of a bumbling boss like Michael Scott from The Office (the American version), but then there were moments where he got confidence. There aren't that many people in power that can come off like an idiot too, so that's why it worked for him. If WWE wants to consider putting somebody back into the role that could be a heel in power then Laurinaitis would fit well.
