7 Candidates To Replace The Authority As WWE's New Figurehead

5. Ric Flair

We have been reading for months that Flair has been ready to go as a more regular on screen performer for WWE, but they don't know what role he would have. He's been rumored to be associated with guy like The Miz or Dolph Ziggler, but that's not happening. Perhaps he could manage his daughter Charlotte. That's just another rumor. Could you really see him as a manager? Flair is too big of a name to be standing outside the ring watching matches. He has a presence about him that few people in professional wrestling have ever had and the spotlight should always be on him. If he manages somebody then he takes away the attention from the performer. It's probably not something he'd be great at, either. A role as a GM would work perfectly for him. He's one of the best wrestlers ever - some say the very best - and that means when he talks people listen. He demands respect. He was in the role as a part owner in storyline in late 2001/early 2002, but it was a while ago so it wouldn't feel repetitive. Flair as GM would also be a good way to introduce his daughter Charlotte. He could bring her up, make things easier for her, which would get her heel heat and then she could become a big babyface star after that. That's a smart way to bring her in. There's a lot of potential with Flair as an authority figure in WWE again.
