7 Changes John Cena Should Make When He Returns To WWE
3. Stop Doing The Five Knuckle Shuffle
In order for Cena to have more of an edge, he needs to cut out the silly Five Knuckle Shuffle move that he has done for many years. He can still do the "you can't see me" hand gesture at other points, but he should definitely cut out the Shuffle. When Cena does the Five Knuckle Shuffle, his opponent sells it by getting back to their feet, which is pretty silly for a move that takes place on the mat. Why the hell do they sell it like that? It's to get them in position for the Attitude Adjustment, of course. It kind of makes sense within the context of the match, but it's a ridiculous way to sell a move and a pretty hokey transition. The move was done to give him something silly (yet massively over) like The Rock's People's Elbow, but he doesn't have to keep doing it when he comes back. It's established and it's time to move onto something else. What WWE doesn't want people to know is that the Five Knuckle Shuffle is a reference to masturbation. Once again, it was something named during his run as The Doctor of Thuganomics in 2003/04. The name, if not the move itself, has certainly passed him by.
