7 ECW Wrestlers Who Totally Failed In WCW

5. Mikey Whipwreck

The best thing about Mikey Whipwreck in ECW was that he was booked like an underdog all the time and the fans loved him for the heart he showed in every match. He didn't win that much, but when he did it was a big deal. There was a special connection between him and the crowd. He was brought into WCW in March of 1999 and was gone by the end of the summer. Why so quickly? It's just because he never really fit in there. They signed him up because they saw him in ECW, but they really had no idea what worked for him or why he got over in the first place. In ECW, he was the underdog that never gave up. In WCW, he was just another guy that they assumed the fans knew from ECW, which is a stupid way to book a new wrestler. When discussing people that failed in WCW there's a common theme for a lot of them and that's that WCW didn't know how to book them right. Whipwreck was another one of those guys.
