7 Feuds Key To Baron Corbin's Success In WWE

5. Cesaro

Baron Corbin spent many a night in NXT working with the best wrestlers in the world. He has battled Finn Balor, Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami, just to name a few. Yet, one look at his resume reveals a clear lack of technical wrestling-based matches.

Enter Cesaro, arguably the most technically sound wrestler on the entire WWE roster, a guy whose chain wrestling abilities are unparalleled in Vince McMahon's empire.

For Corbin to truly succeed on the main roster, in front of fans who can be as ruthless and venomous as any in the industry, he will have to display an ability to step out of his comfort zone and still deliver while working with Superstars of other styles.

Sure, Cesaro is a striker, as is Corbin. Both men could easily succeed by throwing fists and uppercuts. The Swiss Superman, though, is as deadly on the mat as he is throwing hard rights. He can take an opponent to the mat, twist them in a pretzel and force a tapout before the opposition even knows what hit them. Corbin has never really had to work that style of match, where he both has to sell the various holds and maneuvers while also partaking in some of them himself.

It would be a mammoth test for the former collegiate football player and one that he can never be expected to pass if he is not thrown into that situation to learn from the absolute best there is in that style currently under the WWE umbrella.

Like the proposed Ambrose feud, Corbin would learn a completely different element of his game that he never had to concern himself with in NXT, making him a markedly better and more well-rounded performer than ever before.
