7 Great TNA Moments You Totally Forgot Even Happened
6. Hair Vs. Hair
Before he started looking dapper on 205 Live as Drave Maverick, everyone's favourite Cruiserweight GM worked extensively in TNA as Rockstar Spud. The winner of TNA's original British Bootcamp series, the pint-sized Brit proved himself handy foil for heels like Dixie Carter and EC3 a few years later.
By 2015, he had emerged as an unlikely underdog babyface (a role Spud knew well, having played it for years on the UK indy scene before developing his arrogant rock star persona) and began feuding with EC3. On the 13 March edition of Impact Wrestling, both worked a bloody "Hair vs. Hair" match that was super-heated.
In other words, it deserved way more attention than it got.
2015 was a bit of a down period for TNA, so anything worthwhile was naturally going to fly under the radar. Make it your mission to seek this one out though, because it's a well-woven tale of understudy breaking out from the shadow of his horrible "superiors".
Plus, it'll allow anyone unfamiliar with Spud's in-ring work to see what he might be capable of in WWE further down the line.
