7 Huge Returns WWE Fans Most Want In 2017
1. Matt Hardy
In 2016, the unthinkable happened to The Hardy Boyz - after 18 years on the main stage of wrestling, Matt Hardy finally stepped out of his younger brother's shadow. A feud between the two led to a devastating loss that "broke" Matt, and soon he was reborn.
The new character that Hardy developed - "Broken Matt" - was an erratic lunatic with a unique manner of talking and an Addams-family style cast of strange supporting characters. Despite TNA's waning viewership, "Broken Matt" became one of the hottest characters in wrestling in 2016, right up there alongside The New Day and Los Ingobernables.
Fans have started "DELETE!" chants at WWE shows, and those same fans would undoubtedly be happy to see Hardy back in WWE. While it's hard to say just how much of the "Broken Matt" character he'd be able to bring with him, he's come too far to go back to being regular old Matt Hardy. With this persona and a WWE return, he'd be able to find the stardom that eluded him throughout his career.
