7 Most Idiotic Decisions Made By WWE Characters

5. Hulk Hogan Trusts Sid

If Sting is the dumbest person in wrestling, Hulk Hogan is a close second. Hogan has been turned on by more friends than he can probably count and seems to be the last person to know when someone is plotting against him. Obviously wrestling requires a suspension of reality, but if it's obviously to 20,000 people in an arena, shouldn't it be obvious to the guy standing in the ring? Anyways, Sid Eudy entered the WWF in 1991 as Sid Justice, babyface monster who saved Randy Savage from an attack by the Undertaker and Jake Roberts. A biceps injury caused him to miss some time and he returned for the 1992 Royal Rumble. Aside from being the best Rumble in history, the 1992 edition was also special because the winner would receive the WWF world title. The final three in the match were Hulk Hogan, Sid Justice, and Ric Flair. Hogan was busy trying to eliminate Flair when Sid crept up from behind and tossed Hogan, actually earning a huge babyface reaction from the crowd who were starting to tire of Hogan's All-American ways. The WWF actually edited this pop out on the video release and made Gorilla Monsoon record new commentary for the angle. Hogan, playing the part of an All-American crybaby, grabbed Sid's arm from the floor and wouldn't let go, allowing Flair to sneak up from behind and eliminate Sid, winning the WWF world title. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDKNqtPcFw0 Justice was rightfully ticked off and, when Jack Tunney held a press conference to announce the number one contender at Wrestlemania VIII, Justice expected it to be him. When Tunney announced that Hogan would challenge Flair for the title, Sid freaked out and insulted Hogan non-stop. To show that Hogan was a complete idiot, not only did he accept Sid's apology for his actions at the press conference, he also agreed to team with Sid on Saturday Night's Main Event against Ric Flair and the Undertaker. To the surprise of absolutely no one, Sid turned on Hogan during the match and threatened to beat the crap out of Brutus Beefcake's surgically repaired face as well. As Hogans' final moronic move, he gave up his match against Ric Flair for the world title to face Sid Justice in one of the worst Wrestlemania main events in history.
