7 Matches That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: Chicago

6. Aleister Black Vs. Roderick Strong

Aleister Black made his NXT TakeOver debut with a fine win against Andrade Almas, although he isn't the only man who can make such a claim - Roderick Strong did the same at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio. Strong is spinning his wheels in NXT now, a veteran babyface in the middle of the card putting on good matches and little else.

With a shortage of credible heels a problem in NXT, turning Roddy may well be a fine solution. Heel Roderick Strong is approximately a thousand times more engaging than babyface Roddy, and the turn isn't a difficult one to put together. Black is the shiny new toy of the NXT Universe after all, a position that Strong held for all of five minutes a few months back.

It is vital for Aleister Black to find himself embroiled in a story as soon as possible, as opposed to cycling through the motions of winning matches with no meaning. A summer feud with the 'Messiah of the Backbreaker' would do wonders for both men.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
