7 Mistakes WWE Have Already Made With The Shield’s Reunion

4. The Unlikeable Way Seth Rollins Has Been Written

Seth Rollins as a babyface has lost the cool he had as a heel. By being so remorseful and passionately apologising to both the audience and Dean Ambrose, Rollins has come across more wimpy than genuine. Where is that fire he showed when feuding with Triple H earlier this year, and why hasn't the arrogance of his heel run become his war cry even as a babyface?

Instead, Seth pleaded with Dean to reunite with him. Then, in a completely stupid moment, he resisted the temptation to fist bump Ambrose like he had wanted to all along. This was explained as Rollins playing hard to get, but there were gaping holes in WWE's logic; why would Rollins turn down Ambrose's forgiveness, something he had pursued for weeks beforehand?

Now, that story has been abandoned because Seth and Dean are all buddy-buddy again. Meanwhile, Rollins has introduced his new 'Burn It Down' catchphrase, again going against the idea that he's a team player. It's all mixed messages from WWE when the story needs to be simple.
