7 Mistakes WWE Will Probably Make With The Draft This Week

5. Tag Teams Get Split Up

The most puzzling rule for the WWE draft regards the status of tag teams. According to WWE.com, "Tag teams count as one pick unless a Commissioner/General Manager specifically only wants one member of the team". So basically, teams can't be split... unless they are.

Given that there have been teases on TV that teams will be split up, it's a safe bet that at least a couple of units will be forced to go their separate ways. The problem is that it's completely unnecessary to break up any of the current tag teams, and WWE will be doing it just for the sake of a swerve in the moment.

During the first draft, WWE split up tag teams, but the men involved ultimately floundered and the teams were reunited. Today, it'll be much the same - nobody wants to see an Aiden English or Konnor singles run, and it won't work.

The only team whose members could make it on their own are The New Day, and being as how they're the most successful act in the company, the time is not right to split them up.
