7 Must-See Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan WWE Moments

4. WrestleMania III

Forget about Savage/Steamboat and Hogan/Andre, you could make an argument that the real MVP of WrestleMania III was Bobby Heenan.

The Brain not only managed the challenger for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship in the main event, he also managed two other matches (winning one and drawing a double countout in the other) and took a brief spin in the commentary booth.

Heenan himself regarded Mania III as a crowning achievement in his career, and really, he played a vital role in the success of that angle. Without him, the match still would have been huge, but it might not have carried as much gravity as it did with the villainous manager involved.

Check out the litter thrown at Andre on his way down to ringside. Siding with Heenan certainly helped turn up the heat on the Giant and in turn made the main event (as Jesse Ventura called it) “the biggest match in the history of professional wrestling.”
