If one of your buddies/class mates/colleagues claims they called every single beat in this 'Rock wants Cody's soul' story, then call them a dirty liar. Not many saw John Cena turning heel in 2025 to join forces with The Rock coming. Hell, even this writer had been questioning segments involving Rocky and Cody on episodes of SmackDown recently. However, it was always gonna be wise to wait things out and see if WWE might drop a major moment.

They did.

The company made people wait after Jey Uso's surprise Royal Rumble win, but John Cena is going to the main event of WrestleMania 41 after all. Seth Rollins cost CM Punk the Chamber after being eliminated, then Cena audibly said “sorry” to Punk whilst locking him in the STF. What’s more, Cena aligned with Rock to take out Rhodes right at the end of the show. He even hit him with the WWE Title multiple times.

This will go down in history as one of the most shocking sellouts in history, and it was one seriously dramatic end to the night. Cody saying: “Rock, go f**k yourself” and even Michael Cole swearing on commentary? What's going on?! Cena waiting until right at the end of his career to turn heel again is something else too.

Personally, this fan could've done without Travis Scott out there as a distraction, but that's nitpicking. The thought of The Rock and John Cena forming a new Corporation-esque faction is stunning. This was all WWE drama at its finest.
