1. A New Corporate Champion In 2025?

Please note: "New Corporate Champion" doesn't necessarily mean John Cena.

The Rock probably isn’t done recruiting, and there's the looming threat of more sellouts joining his crusade against well-meaning current incumbent Cody Rhodes. Don't rule out everyone from Drew McIntyre to Seth Rollins becoming part of this Corporation 2K25 in coming months. Who had any of this on their bingo cards for 2025? There can't have been many predicting it.

WWE could give Cena one last hurrah as top champ before he retires though. That'd scratch three itches. One, it'd let him break Ric Flair's longstanding 16-time brag and give JC a 17th reign (thus conveniently spitting in the face of traditions that matter to Rhodes). Two, it'd feed into the story they're telling with The Rock demanding a champion who gets his Hollywood demands. Three, nobody would be fretting about the best way to end Cody's own title reign, and creative would have a break from booking a babyface champ.

Rhodes would be able to prolong his popular babyface march if he had another set of fresh heels to chase for the rest of 2025. Others would follow his lead and take a leg up the card too. The possibilities are endless, because this has come out of nowhere faster than a Randy Orton RKO. Strap yourselves in!

Seeing Rock cruelly steal the WWE Title from someone as hardworking as Rhodes would heap heat on him and Cena as heels. This writer legit can't believe he's saying that John Cena is a heel in 2025. What a biz.
