That journey has already started, in truth, but Sami said during the Night Of Champions post-show that he will be World Heavyweight Champion someday. He's surely manifesting there, but Zayn is great enough to make it happen. WWE can ride this story all the way to WrestleMania 42 if they so wish. They know they can rely on Sami to hit fans with some hard emotion over the mic - he's really good at that.

Sami beat Karrion Kross at Night Of Champions. It wasn't one of his best matches, but there was a strong underdog quality to the win that people have come to know and love when tuning into Zayn's stuff. Hey, what if he wins the World Heavyweight Title at 'Mania 42 then that old familiar entrance tune tied to one Kevin Owens blares out and he comes to celebrate with/attack his real-life friend?

Someone write that down and email it to Triple H so he doesn't forget. Cheers.

Perhaps the toughest challenge WWE could be facing here is being able to show restraint and some patience. It won't take much for live crowds to get right behind the idea of Sami becoming World Champ, especially if he's going to beat Gunther to get to the top of the mountain. Don't forget, they had an excellent match for the Intercontinental Title at 'Mania 40.

By April 2026, we'll be a full 2 years on from that. Another round, this time contesting a much bigger prize, isn't out of the question. Before then, Zayn has some material to log on the live mic. He'll get to work.
