It's pretty obvious that Alexa Bliss wasn't going to win the SmackDown Women's Title from Becky Lynch at No Mercy. Lynch had just won the belt at Backlash, so it seemed impossible to foresee her dropping it quite so quickly. In addition to that, Bliss also fell to her replacement opponent at No Mercy.

Hastily paired with Naomi, the blonde bombshell suffered the indignity of losing to her neon-sporting opponent. Breaking down in the middle of the ring, Bliss performed a brief temper tantrum to sell her frustration at losing on pay-per-view. Now, she's not the only one who will be chasing Becky for the title.

As announced by Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, Alexa will still face Lynch on the November 8 edition of SmackDown Live for the Women's Title. That's not set in stone though, Naomi could now be written to interject and also be involved.

By making the situation a Triple Threat, WWE would have a fine match locked in for the show. Whilst Alexa's one-on-one shot would be sacrificed, Naomi also belongs in the title hunt after No Mercy.
