7 NXT Vs. WWE Main Roster Matches That Simply Must Happen

2. Seth Rollins Vs. Finn Balor

This is a no-brainer right? Rollins might be on the shelf for the next six to nine months, but when he returns a match against the current NXT Champion has to happen. It doesn't matter who is the heel, heck it could be babyface vs. babyface, two of the top wrestlers in the company can work under all circumstances. Balor and Rollins are both products of the independent wrestling scene, and to anyone who saw them before arriving at WWE could see that they were destined for the biggest stage. You could argue that this would be a match between two men who could go on to become the megastars of the near future, when Cena, Orton et al are slowly faded out. WWE has moved away from focusing on what happens in the ring over the last couple of decades, as entertainment has taken the reigns away from sport. Still, what matters between the ropes still enthrals and Balor and Rollins are two of the best.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
