7 Observations From Attending WWE Raw Live In Missouri
3. Roman Reigns Parts The Crowd
As the night began, there were brief cheers every time Roman Reigns would appear on the Titan Tron in a commercial, preview, recap, and the like. The majority of the more vocal adult men in the crowd squirmed in their seats when this would happen, though shockingly enough, even some of the anti-Roman demographic seemed to switch sides and cheer for The Guy.
As previously mentioned, St. Louis is a large babyface territory, aside from the non-stop admiration of one Ric Flair (we can “Woo!” like nobody’s business). This might explain the love that Roman was getting from men, women, and children in attendance, proving the city to be one of the more receptive if he were to stroll through the sea of people as his entrance once more.
By the time the main event rolled around, the crowd was split down the middle. Dueling chants of “Let’s go Roman” and “Let’s go AJ” reverberated throughout the high ceiling of the Scottrade Center, making sure that if Roman Reigns ever needs a safe haven to be cheered as a babyface—as incredulous as that claim might be these days—he may have found it in the Gateway to the West.
