7 Options To End Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Championship Reign

4. Dean Ambrose

There are plenty of individuals on the WWE roster who have unfinished business with Brock Lesnar. Samoa Joe may feel as though he never got a real shot at Lesnar, while stars like Shinsuke Nakamura, Jeff Hardy and Drew McIntyre are yet to get a chance against the man. Even Jinder Mahal has a solid argument in favour of challenging Lesnar, after his Survivor Series match was taken away from him by AJ Styles.

The most bitter of all of those waiting in the wings could well be a man currently off TV. Dean Ambrose has been gone since picking up an injury at the end of 2017, and no one seems to know what is going on with the Lunatic Fringe.

Ambrose and Lesnar famously did battle at WrestleMania 32, in a match that Lesnar clearly had no interest in. Dean Ambrose the wrestling character must harbour some sort of grudge from that failure in Texas, and making Lesnar his number one target makes a lot of sense. It doesn’t even need to be about the WWE Universal Championship.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
