But perhaps WWE want to put over a different young up-and-comer. It’s no secret the company is high on Baron Corbin. After all, he is quite tall and has tattoos.

Seriously though, Corbin has a lot of upside as a monster heel, he’s just lacked a proper big-stage moment to establish main event credibility. To get that, he would need a big match, and an opponent who can make him look really good. Who better to make him look good than AJ Styles?

A proper Styles/Corbin title feud that culminates at WrestleMania could get over really well, as the audience eats up anything Styles does, and Corbin, being pretty much AJ’s opposite in every way, shape, and form, would be a perfect monster to antagonize him. And at WrestleMania, a match between them would be the perfect way to establish Corbin as a real-deal main-eventer.
