7 Predictions For Ronda Rousey's UFC Return

3. If She Loses, She's Done

Here's a prediction for you: if Ronda Rousey loses to Amanda Nunes in her big comeback fight at UFC 207, she may simply walk away from MMA forever.

There are a few reasons for this: for starters, Rousey has been talking retirement a lot of late. She brought it up in her Ellen appearance, and she has brought it up since. It makes a lot of sense: pusing 30 and with Hollywood calling, if she wants to make it in acting, she needs to dedicate herself to the craft soon. She's no natural, but she could have a decent enough career if she was focused.

How much does she care about acting? Who knows? However, the next factor is simply how she handles losing. Read: not well. After losing to Holly Holm, Rousey talked about having suicidal thoughts, then became something of a hermit. She avoided media appearances, and didn't fight for over a year.

Losing is part of the game in MMA: unlike boxing, few MMA fighters retire undefeated, especially at the top of the sport. Rousey simply may not be able to handle a second loss.

If she does walk away, and acting doesn't pan out, then being in her early 30s wouldn't hurt her chances in the WWE, which is another option for her.
