7 Reasons Braun Strowman Shouldn’t Become WWE Universal Champ At No Mercy 2017

4. It'd Mean More If He Won The Royal Rumble First

Braun Strowman's biggest win in WWE came against Roman Reigns at Payback. More is coming, but a natural progression towards the Universal Title by way of a Royal Rumble victory (for example) is needed to really set him up for the gold. One suggestion would be that WWE go the full way with the giant this coming January and make Braun look like the man in one of their most infamous matches.

Again, this is where a loss to Lesnar wouldn't hurt him if handled correctly. Should Brock cheat or beat Strowman with something cruel, like a massive bump or barrage of weapon shots, then Braun will be protected. It could also be used as motivation for the monster to walk into the Rumble early next year as #1 and beat 29 other men.

Put Lesnar in a sky box and have him show fear as Strowman mows down everyone in his path. Then, once he has hurled the last man over the top rope, write Braun to point at Brock instead of the WrestleMania sign. The Rumble needs something fresh, and this would be it.
