7 Reasons Conor McGregor Won't Be Joining WWE Any Time Soon

5. Hollywood Is Calling

As with Ronda Rousey before him, Conor McGregor is a crossover success story in the making. Only, it's not WWE where that crossover success may happen. The closest McGregor may come to a WWE superstar, in fact, is rubbing shoulders with The Rock in tinsel town.

Just like Rowdy Ronda before him.

McGregor was already attached to one big-name Hollywood film, Vin Diesel's upcoming sequel to xXx. However, after losing to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 in March, McGregor pulled out of the production to focus on training for the rematch. A wise decision, in the end - he won the second fight in August, and regained his position as King of the Mountain in the UFC.

Now that the monkey is off his back, McGregor is free to field offers from Hollywood - and it's likely that he will. He has expressed a desire to make a lot of money, retire early, and not risk his health. McGregor's a smart business man, and he knows he has a long future outside of fighting. Making movies isn't nearly as hard on the body as fighting or wrestling, and you're more likely to see him on the silver screen than in the squared circle.
