7 Reasons Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura Inter-Promotional Match Is Best For Business

7. WWE & NJPW Are The Two Biggest Wrestling Organizations In The World

Njpw The WWE is unquestionably the biggest wrestling organization in existence. The numbers speak for themselves. That being said, New Japan Pro Wrestling is definitely number two. Just look at the success of their partnership with Jeff Jarrett€™s Global Force Wrestling for the presentation of Wrestle Kingdom 9. In the U.S. that show had very little promotion aside from some stellar YouTube videos hyping the card and explaining some backstory, and word of mouth from hardcore wrestling fans. The numbers were really good considering those factors and a lot of that has to do with the fact that NJPW has some of the best wrestlers in the world and are the second biggest wrestling company going. Normally the WWE doesn€™t like to partner with any other companies in the business. They like to exist within their own bubble, but because NJPW is most popular outside the United States, the idea of a little synergy between the two organizations doesn€™t have the potential to do damage to the WWE€™s ability to make money. Doing Daniel Bryan vs. Shinsuke Nakamura as a special inter-promotional event helps the WWE get more exposure in Japan and NJPW get more exposure in North America. Like Sony Pictures partnering with Marvel Studios to produce a Spiderman film that exists within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this dream match could be a win/win for these two already very successful organizations.
