3. Options A-Plenty Elsewhere

Gone are the days where World Wrestling Entertainment was the only place for a professional wrestler to make a good living. Pro wrestling is in great health across the board, and the number of visible options available to someone like Dolph Ziggler are as plentiful as they have ever been. Just look at the work of Cody Rhodes, Drew Galloway and others since leaving WWE.

Ziggler could become a freelancer, working dates in ROH, PWG, TNA, lord knows elsewhere. There are a slew of dream matches waiting for him outside of WWE (Ziggler vs. Adam Cole? Ziggler vs. Zack Sabre Jr?), and there has always been a sense of WWE holding the man back in the ring somewhat. A stint outside the company could show us all what he is truly capable of.

Or how about a run in Lucha Underground? It is a pairing that makes sense for a lot of reasons, not just geographical. Or heck, how about a tour or two with New Japan Pro Wrestling? Dolph Ziggler vs. Satoshi Kojima is a match that I never realised I needed until right now.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
