https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGeb_T8HZv8 When Steen makes his debut on WWE TV, there will already be a range of Superstars on the roster that Steen has a history with. Though it's unlikely that the WWE will acknowledge this history, it will go a long way to help Steen fit in. In NXT, there's Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn. Neville, who used to wrestle as PAC, has already had a number of great matches with Steen in the past. Zayn, formerly El Generico, is Steen's best friend. They grew up together and have wrestled hundreds of times, either against each other or as a tag team. Although it won't be explicitly mentioned, the idea of more Steen/Generico in any capacity will have indie wrestling fans drooling. And that's not mentioning fellow new signings Kenta and Price Devitt, both of whom also have history with Steen. When he gets to the main roster there's Cesaro, Rollins and Bryan who have all wrestled Steen in the past, and can no doubt help smooth the transition from indie wrestler, to NXT wrestler, to WWE Superstar. It's an extremely difficult transition to make, but Steen has examples of friends doing it successfully, he can see the changes that need to be made. This means he can translate what his friends have done and help apply that to his own character and wrestling style.
