7 Reasons Why The Rock Will Wrestle At WrestleMania 31

3. There Are Fresh Opponents Out There For Him

When The Rock was doing the ESPN shows this week and they asked about coming back, he kept mentioning that he would do it if there was the right story out there for him. In other words, he would like WWE to come up with a story that gives him the right opponent. Brock Lesnar is a very fresh opponent. Their last match was back at SummerSlam 2002. That was before Rock became one of the biggest movie stars in the world. It was also when Lesnar beat Rock for the WWE Title and then when Lesnar left WWE he went on to become a huge PPV box office draw as a Heavyweight Champion in the UFC. Seeing that match one more time in 2015 would be an incredible sight just because of their immense star power. There's also the possibility of a match with Sting. Maybe The Undertaker doesn't want to wrestle again, so having Rock take on Sting would certainly fit the bill as a legends match. Then there are a number of younger guys on the WWE roster that would benefit from being in a feud with Rock. Names like the previously mentioned Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Cesaro, Bray Wyatt, Rusev and countless others would all fit the bill as a younger opponent for Rock. What about Triple H? Those two guys grew up together. They feuded as midcarders, then they carried the company as top guys. Now they're in their early 40s, but the great chemistry is likely still there and if they had another match it would be the perfect throwback to those of us that watched them wrestle so many times over a decade ago. It could be fun. All we can hope for is that WWE avoids doing another Rock/Cena match. Hopefully "Once In A Lifetime" doesn't happen three times. We don't need to see it again.
