7 Reasons Roman Reigns Should Beat The Undertaker At WrestleMania 33

2. Reigns Would Join An Elite Company

It’s impossible to argue that Roman Reigns isn’t one of the most consistently pushed wrestlers in WWE. Even a Wellness Policy violation couldn’t derail his momentum, and Reigns was still regularly closing shows and dominating opponents during his sojourn in the United States Title division. He’s as over-protected as they come, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.

That being said, Reigns, like most of his peers, is still lacking in high-level star power. The likes of Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens have huge followings, and they’re great wrestlers in their own right, but neither can compete with a Brock Lesnar or Bill Goldberg in terms of buzz. WWE’s star-making machine just isn’t as effective as it used to be, and the likes of Reigns are byproducts of that.

Defeating The Undertaker would put Reigns on an elite level, however. Only Lesnar can say that he has defeated The Deadman at WrestleMania, and equalling that feat would put Reigns several steps closer to Brock’s level. Suddenly, he’d have the credibility to justify his massive, ongoing push, and with the bulk of WWE’s elder statesmen set to step away from the ring sooner rather than later, Reigns would finally feel like a suitable replacement.
